Jakarta, 22 October 2025—Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Indonesia’s premier science and technology university, and PT Multipolar Technology Tbk (IDX: MLPT), one of the country’s leading ICT solution providers, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Tuesday (21/10) to jointly establish the Applied AI & Data Science Lab.
This collaboration marks a significant step in uniting Indonesia’s top academic and technical research capabilities with real-world applications across dynamic service sectors—including banking and finance, healthcare, property, telecommunications, manufacturing, retail, and education.
A National Catalyst for AI Adoption
Through this partnership, Multipolar Technology will serve as a national catalyst for AI adoption by transforming ITB’s research outcomes and scientific expertise into ready-to-use solutions that deliver added value to industries.
ITB’s innovations will be integrated into Multipolar Technology’s infrastructure and platforms, enabling advanced knowledge to be converted into practical applications that are ready for testing, scaling, and commercialization.
This partnership positions Multipolar Technology not only as a technology provider but also as an orchestrator and promoter of AI transformation in Indonesia. The company will also lead proof-of-concept projects across the ecosystem technology, which reaches up to 50 million customers across nine business sectors.
A National Innovation Hub
The Applied AI & Data Science Lab will be located in Indonesia’s first high technology building dedicated exclusively to artificial intelligence (AI) and data science. The tower is part of an innovation ecosystem in Indonesia’s Silicon Valley.
Facilities will include co-working spaces, demo labs, and collaboration centers, making it a national showcase for applied AI and digital transformation.
ITB Rector, Prof. Dr. Ir.
